About Living Desert Zoo & Gardens

The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens is the perfect place to spend a family day outdoors in contact with nature. The location overlooks the Pecos River Valley, so you’ll be fascinated with the breathtaking view. This amazing park exhibits the varied plant and animal life of the Chihuahuan Desert region, and visitors will be able to observe animals such as snakes, lizards, birds of prey, and larger animals such as bison and elk. Finish the day in a relaxing walk along a nature trail past cacti, yuccas, agave, and other native plant life!
A great option for outdoor places to visit in New Mexico!
