About Carlsbad Caverns

If you are looking to spend some time beholding incredible scenery, this is the place to visit. You will see high ancient sea ledges, deep rocky canyons, flowering cactus and desert wildlife treasures above the ground. Spend some time with the family in the Chihuahuan Desert and make unforgettable family memories. You will discover more than 119 caves hidden beneath the surface. These caves are formed when sulfuric acid dissolved limestone, this event left behind caverns of all sizes. These fragile environments called ”caves” are affected by human activities and natural processes that occur both underground and on the surface.
Carlsbad Caverns is definitely one of the best places to see nature in New Mexico! You will see amazing scenery and have a blast.
