About Maxwell Museum of Anthropology

The Maxwell Museum of Anthropology is located on the University of New Mexico campus, and it features innovative exhibitions, educational programs, and public programs that are focused on the human story past, present, and future!
The mission of the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology is to work towards better understandings of the fullness of human experiences in the Southwest and the world.
The permanent exhibitions of the museum are People of the Southwest and Ancestors, and they explore the regions and humanity’s-deep history. The online and temporary exhibitions feature unseen portions of the Museum’s collections, explore the state’s diverse communities and history, and more!
